Strippers vs. Werewolves (2012)

Strippers vs. Werewolves is not the usual kinda stuff that I go to see. But I gritted my fangs for Starburst Magazine and off I went to a screening...

You can read what I thought here.

Jon, you are a braver man than I but you gotta go where the work takes you... Well now, I usually hate these kind of films, and there seems to be a whole strata of them - right now I'm thinking of the dismal Bloodbath at the House of Death, The Revenge of Billy the Kid, and Lesbian Vampire Killers, but I may track this one down depending on how much screentime Lucy Pinder gets...phew !

Great review Jon. When'd you start writing for Starburst? Your article pretty much confirmed my suspicions about SvW; a fantastically exploitative and sleazy title the film itself can't quite live up to the promise of. Of the recent slew of grindhouse throwbacks - many of which I've yet to see - Zombie Strippers was also a massive disappointment. This little subgenre needs a Val Lewton methinks.

Cheers, Wes. Lucy Pinder's not in it a lot, but there's a lot of her in it!

Thanks, James. Yeah, have been writing for them for a couple of months now. I grew up reading Starburst so it has been great. I've got a feature on exorcism movies coming out in a couple of days to tie in with The Devil Inside.
