Oh wow, was it that bad ?? When the advance trailer first went out I heard some good feedback from fandom, with people responding to the grungy look of the film and the promise of some extreme splatter. But this one seems to have retreated into the remake ghetto to gather dust... I'm of the opinion that there are no bad remakes just bad films but horror remakes have sort of become the cinematic equivalent of shopping mall muzak - a well produced but predictable copy but utterly lacking any heart lest the hapless shopper be rescued from his stupor...
